About Gamer's Voice Award

The Gamer’s Voice Award began as a way to bring the best in indie game development to the world’s stage at SXSW. Now, in its fourth year, the Gamer’s Voice Award has grown become one of the largest, and most impactful experiences for dozens of indie developers and teams. With past successes such as Nidhogg, SpeedRunners, SUPERHOT, and Gang Beasts, this key part of the SXSW Gaming experience has become a means to facilitate growth in projects booming with potential by fostering collaboration across several creative industries.

Each year the SXSW staff selects a handful of the best games from hundreds of entries from independent studios and teams, and brings the chosen nominees to the SXSW Gaming Expo to compete for the Gamer’s Voice Award, which is chosen exclusively by attendees.

Whether you work in the industry or are simply a fan who loves games as much as we do, we invite you to take a look at all the great games competing for the Gamer’s Voice Award at SXSW Gaming 2017.

SXSW Gaming 2017 takes place in the Austin Convention Center in Austin, Texas from Thursday, March 16 – Saturday, March 18.
