SXSW Gaming 2017 brought with it a lot of big changes to several fan-favorite areas such as the Esports Tournament Stage, Tabletop Experience, Arcade Bunker, and of course, the Cosplay Contest!
Hosted by KittyPlays and featuring guest judges Alex Corea and Lyndie Greenwood, this year saw the Cosplay Contest get a major upgrade as it moved into the Grand Ballroom at the Hilton Austin Downtown. With hundreds of fans in attendance, dozens of highly-talented contestants with some of the best cosplay SXSW has ever seen, and special performances by Tough Coded: Live and Powerglove, the opening night of SXSW Gaming set a new bar for cosplay at SXSW in the years to come.
