The vast majority of SXSW Gaming sessions are selected through an interface called the PanelPicker.
The PanelPicker is a two-step online process that takes place each summer and allows the SXSW community to have a significant voice in programming, which can take the form of panels, solo talks, workshops, mentor positions, and more, during the SXSW Gaming, SXSW, and SXSWedu Conferences. For more information on the PanelPicker, please view the FAQ or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
This easy to use interface combines public voting, expert opinion, as well as staff input to democratically determine the Conference’s programming lineup. Each proposal is given a composite scored based on the public’s voting (33%), the views of our Advisory Board (33%), and of the SXSW Staff’s input (33%). Each proposal is given thoughtful reflection and discussion.
PanelPicker is now open and will close at 11:59 PT on Friday, July 21. Please stay tuned for more information on PanelPicker for the 2018 season via social media, or sign up for the SXSW Newsletter to stay well-informed about all of SXSW’s deadlines and announcements.
If you have an innovative idea for the 2018 SXSW Gaming festival, don’t miss your chance to participate in this year’s PanelPicker process!
